In summary:
- First day of your period is known as Day 1
- Approx. 7 days after ovulation eg. if you have a regular 28 day cycle, day 7 would be on day 21.
- Progesterone is tested at approx. day 7 to test if it is high enough, this shows if ovulation has occurred.
- Day 8 - Seek advice to find out why your menstrual cycle is irregular.
- Day 2 or 3 - FSH (Follicular Stimulating Hormone) to see how your ovaries are responding. If it is too high fertility is low.
- Day 8 - AMH (Anti Mullerian Hormone) as for FSH.
- Anti-Bodies for Rubella (German Measles) and Candida.
- Oestradiol - Regulates menstruation.
- Prolactin - If levels become too elevated it can effect fertility.
