After your initial enquiry over the phone or via email we will arrange a time for you to come and have an assessment in your preferred clinic location. The assessment is treated like a first counselling session however in that time we will discuss your need for counselling, goals and answer any questions you have about the process. If you feel you want to go ahead then we would arrange a regular time to meet. We would have a review at six weeks to see how we are progressing together and if any changes need to be made. There is no obligation after our first session to go ahead with counselling, some people may change their mind or feel that it is not for them and that is fine. In order for counselling to be successful you have to be ready and willing to fully engage in the process. #Counsellor #Counselling #Faversham #Kent I get asked this question a great deal, so it made sense to write an explanation for you: Counselling is a one to one opportunity, over either short or long term periods, to help you bring about effective change or enhance your wellbeing. My role as the counsellor is to support and enable you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours by talking openly and freely. All information shared between us remains strictly confidential (unless somone is at risk of harm) to ensure that a strong, trusting, safe relationship can be built between us.
