I'm so pleased with the outcome!
I booked a visit for my daughter as I had suspicion of food sensitivity. Victoria held the space for us in such a wonderful, warm and knowledgeable way. The advise given by Victoria put into practice by us gave incredible results!
I also have to complement Victoria for quality of service she delivered , very professional, very knowledgeable and very friendly .

I have deliberately held off writing my review until I was absolutely sure that the regime that Victoria put me on was working. I can now say that more than three months on from my first appointment, my ibs symptoms have dramatically reduced and I feel amazing. I have suffered with ibs for nearly 10 years, on and off, and almost continuously for the last 5 years and nothing seemed to work. The strict elimination diet that Victoria put me on is not easy to follow at first, but I stuck to it rigidly and now it has paid off. I first started to see signs of improvement after 6 weeks, but I had to be patient and carry on until now when I see sustained improvement. I am still experimenting to see what I can eat, and I now have the confidence to listen to my body and trust what it is telling me. My tastes have changed and what seemed like such a hardship in the beginning to deny myself certain foods, I no longer want to eat those foods, or at least only very occasionally! So thank you Victoria, my two appointments with you were a great investment and have transformed my life.

I first saw Victoria with my IBS that’s been on going for 10 + years from which my GP wasn’t the best if help suggesting I follow the FODMAP diet ( so restricted )
After my consultation with Victoria I could finally see a light at the end of the tunnel, she guided me in making some quite life changing habits which I embraced and as a result haven’t had an IBS attack in 6+ weeks
She talked me through adding back in my favourite foods in small quantities and the positive habit changes I have made are now a part of my daily routine, my visit with Victoria was both educational and well worth the money and guidance

I was recommended Victoria from my Daughter. I followed her advice and within days I noticed a difference. I had suffered eczema on my face, weight gain and bloating, and my eczema seemed to flare when I ate certain foods .
After a few days I felt more energised, my skin started to clear and I was feeling better. One month on, I’ve lost 1 stone 2lb just by removing wheat and chocolate from my diet, drinking more water and squash as opposed to cups of tea. I have found this to be beneficial and it has altered how I think about food and I have stopped grabbing snacks as I don’t need them .

My sister and I were very impressed with our appointment, Victoria’s gentle approach and understanding of my sister and her dementia was very kind and her knowledge of my sisters medication and her advice on diet etc very helpful.

Hi Victoria, I hope you are doing well!

Just tonight id give you a little update now I’m 17 weeks into my new lifestyle!

I’m still feeling absolutely incredible! I’ve totally adapted my lifestyle with this new way of eating, and I never thought I’d say it but I’m so good at food prep these days! I don’t think I’ve ever been this organised! My mental and physical health are the best they have been I think forever, I couldn’t be happier. I’ve now lost a stone and a half in weight and feel so much healthier. I don’t even miss cheese any more!

Thanks again for everything you’ve done and for this new life you have enabled me to create, I’m so grateful. I hope your business and personal life are both doing well! Thanks again x

A few words about the Coffee Morning as promised:
I would strongly recommend attending the Positively Free From & Coeliac Support Group at Creek Creative. It is informative on many levels, even if you do not have a restricted diet but want to eat healthily and ENJOY your food. As someone who does have a restricted diet and is tired of eating bland food, both Lorraine’s recipes and Victoria’s dietary wisdom have been an eye opener for me.

I went to see Victoria for a few issues, including bloating, depression and generally feeling unwell. She helped me get to the bottom of my health problems, and made me realise how important food and nutrition is to our overall health. Victoria has been a life saver. I went to see her after having my gallbladder removed as I wasn’t able to keep any food in and weight was dropping off me (not something I ever thought I’d have an issue with!). With some excellent guidance from Victoria re foods to avoid and digestion tips etc I’m feeling 100% better! My weight has plateaued and I’m introducing more and more foods every day. Thank you!

Having tried lots of different methods to help my digestive problems. I spoke to my Pt who recommended Victoria and spoke so highly of her that I felt confident in contacting her to book an appointment.
Not only did victoria respond quickly (she was actually on holiday at the time). She also allowed me to call to discuss my dietary issues in the evening showing a understanding to a working mum's life.
Victoria it's fair to say has changed my life dramatically.
I know longer feel sick,bloated,upset stomach and tired to name a few of the issues I had. Not only did Victoria work out the food triggers but she also gave me advice when I needed it through email.
I am so happy with feeling 100% better as I have suffered with all these symptoms since I was young. Victoria is professional and realistic when it comes to life change's. She is non judgemental and full of empathy for what you are going through. I have and will recommend her to my friends and family.

Victoria Shorland is a very knowledgeable nutritionist indeed. She is thorough and careful in her assessments of her patients, and very understanding in dealing with their problems. She has helped me very many times in sorting out digestive difficulties, tracing allergic substances and aiding my well-being with her expertise. I've had issues with Colitis for over 16 years which always made me anxious as to the location of the next toilet! Not sure how my wife has put up with me!
My experience over the years is that Doctors hand out tablets to improve the symptoms but don't look for the cause of the problem,
Victoria looked for the cause of the problem and her diagnosis and advice has changed my life. I no longer worry about going out and leaving my mate the toilet behind!!

During last year I was suffering with a particularly persistent bout of hives and painful digestive problems.  Antihistamines proved to be totally ineffective so in desperation I contacted Victoria Shorland and booked a consultation.  She told me that she thought I was Histamine Intolerant.  I had never heard of this before but given my rather unusual medical history and the various symptoms of allergy that I had had over the years, it seemed to make sense.  Victoria recommended that I keep a food and symptom diary and go on an exclusion diet cutting out all foods that contained Histamine or had an adverse effect on the way in which Histamine is stored or processed in the body.  I had been a Vegetarian for 30 years and unfortunately this was part of the problem as my diet was largely based on nuts, pulses and soya, all of which were unsuitable for me because of either, the intolerance to Histamine or my additional Thyroid problems.  It was a shock to realise that I simply couldn’t stay Vegetarian and be healthy.  Victoria suggested that I include meat in my diet as there was no other way to meet all my nutritional needs.  She also recommended that I give up sugar and caffeine and cut down on wheat products.  Although it was hard, I immediately did as she suggested and changed my diet, which Victoria then ‘fine tuned’ over several months.  The hives subsided, my digestive problems disappeared and my Thyroid issues improved.  I lost nearly a stone, which was an added bonus and my weight no longer fluctuates.  I feel healthy and energetic and enormously relieved to be hive free and to know how to stay that way.  I have been able to reintroduce small amounts of foods that were problematic before, such as eggs and I experiment from time to time with other foods  which helps me to become more aware of my tolerance levels.  However, I’ve learned that citrus fruit, potato skins and sugar are still best left alone!

I feel very grateful to Victoria for her knowledge, insight and kind support during those difficult months.  She was always happy to answer questions via e-mail between appointments which was an enormous help when making such drastic changes in diet, which at times felt overwhelming.  I have no hesitation in recommending Victoria to anyone who needs help with their health and nutrition.

Hi, I just wanted to say how thankful I am that my friend told me about Victoria. I was unwell and the doctors were not as helpful as I'd hoped. I was sent to a dietician but cancelled it in favour of seeing what Victoria said, it was the best decision for me.
I was listened to and offered diets and supplements to get me back on my feet. Victoria offers on going support through emails and tweaks diets where needed. I am so much healthier and it's down to Victoria. I have told so many friends to go and see her and where I can I will continue to recommend. Thank you again for all your help and on going advice.

Being a fella I was typical in that I didnt like talking about my health. I had had IBS for years, but put up with it.  When it started the effect my work, and it looked like I would have to reduce my hours, my wife insisted I see Victoria.  I wish I had done it years ago.  Within a few days the symptoms lifted.  I am amazed, very grateful and much happier.

After feeling constantly tired and stressed out (I run an international media/design business and travel a lot) I met with Victoria to discuss my nutritional profile and needs. She was enormously helpful, insightful and really friendly. 3 months on, I am still putting the advice she gave me into practice and feel so much better. I still work hard and travel a lot for my work, but I have more energy, sleep better and my overall health has improved. Little changes including avoiding foods which don't agree with me, the right mineral supplements (which were severely lacking in my case) and an ongoing commitment to look after myself better, have really made a difference. I'm so glad I met her and would recommend Victoria Shorland /Eat to Live, to anyone looking for nutritional advice and support.

Wish I had discovered this sooner!
As a serial dieter for YEARS, tried most things and spent a fortune on slimming 'classes' etc I was looking for a more private, personal service but, to be honest, did not think I could afford it. Contacted Victoria and was thrilled by her responding email which was informative, interesting and best of all proved this sort of 1:1 service does not need to break the bank.! I look forward to my monthly visits where I am always learning something new. No faddy diets involved just good, commonsense approach.
