I received fantastic support and advice from Victoria regarding my diet and lifestyle. The changes I have implemented as a result have led to me feeling much happier and healthier and my symptoms have greatly reduced.

After two sessions with Victoria I now have the knowledge and confidence to deal with my symptoms. The sessions were very thorough and at all times I felt comfortable and that she really understood everything that was going on. Everything made sense and all the advice was constructive and helpful.

I've had issues with Colitis for over 16 years which always made me anxious as to the location of the next toilet! Not sure how my wife has put up with me!
My experience over the years is that Doctors hand out tablets to improve the symptoms but don't look for the cause of the problem,
Victoria looked for the cause of the problem and her diagnosis and advice has changed my life. I no longer worry about going out and leaving my mate the toilet behind!!

During last year I was suffering with a particularly persistent bout of hives and painful digestive problems. Antihistamines proved to be totally ineffective so in desperation I contacted Victoria Shorland and booked a consultation. She told me that she thought I was Histamine Intolerant. I had never heard of this before but given my rather unusual medical history and the various symptoms of allergy that I had had over the years, it seemed to make sense. Victoria recommended that I keep a food and symptom diary and go on an exclusion diet cutting out all foods that contained Histamine or had an adverse effect on the way in which Histamine is stored or processed in the body. I had been a Vegetarian for 30 years and unfortunately this was part of the problem as my diet was largely based on nuts, pulses and soya, all of which were unsuitable for me because of either, the intolerance to Histamine or my additional Thyroid problems. It was a shock to realise that I simply couldn’t stay Vegetarian and be healthy. Victoria suggested that I include meat in my diet as there was no other way to meet all my nutritional needs. She also recommended that I give up sugar and caffeine and cut down on wheat products. Although it was hard, I immediately did as she suggested and changed my diet, which Victoria then ‘fine tuned’ over several months. The hives subsided, my digestive problems disappeared and my Thyroid issues improved. I lost nearly a stone, which was an added bonus and my weight no longer fluctuates. I feel healthy and energetic and enormously relieved to be hive free and to know how to stay that way. I have been able to reintroduce small amounts of foods that were problematic before, such as eggs and I experiment from time to time with other foods which helps me to become more aware of my tolerance levels. However, I’ve learned that citrus fruit, potato skins and sugar are still best left alone!
I feel very grateful to Victoria for her knowledge, insight and kind support during those difficult months. She was always happy to answer questions via e-mail between appointments which was an enormous help when making such drastic changes in diet, which at times felt overwhelming. I have no hesitation in recommending Victoria to anyone who needs help with their health and nutrition.

Hi, I just wanted to say how thankful I am that my friend told me about Victoria. I was unwell and the doctors were not as helpful as I'd hoped. I was sent to a dietician but cancelled it in favour of seeing what Victoria said, it was the best decision for me.
I was listened to and offered diets and supplements to get me back on my feet. Victoria offers on going support through emails and tweaks diets where needed. Being a fella I was typical in that I didnt like talking about my health. I had had IBS for years, but put up with it. When it started the effect my work, and it looked like I would have to reduce my hours, my wife insisted I see Victoria. I wish I had done it years ago. Within a few days the symptoms lifted. Practical, useful, real nutitional advice, that works!
After feeling constantly tired and stressed out (I run an international media/design business and travel a lot) I met with Victoria to discuss my nutritional profile and needs. She was enormously helpful, insightful and really friendly. 3 months on, I am still putting the advice she gave me into practice and feel so much better. I still work hard and travel a lot for my work, but I have more energy, sleep better and my overall health has improved. Little changes including avoiding foods which don't agree with me, the right mineral supplements (which were severely lacking in my case) and an ongoing commitment to look after myself better, have really made a difference. I'm so glad I met her and would recommend Victoria Shorland /Eat to Live, to anyone looking for nutritional advice and support.

As a serial dieter for YEARS, tried most things and spent a fortune on slimming 'classes' etc I was looking for a more private, personal service but, to be honest, did not think I could afford it. Contacted Victoria and was thrilled by her responding email which was informative, interesting and best of all proved this sort of 1:1 service does not need to break the bank.! I look forward to my monthly visits where I am always learning something new. No faddy diets involved just good, commonsense approach.
